Ina-Garten
Ina Gardner is the writer of a number of popular American cooking books. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network. It has been running since 2002. Ina began her career by working for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and policy papers. She initially adored the intellectual stimulation of the job, but eventually, she began to lose enthusiasm. Instead, she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty food shop. After 18 years of making her shop a massive success she decided to sell it and started writing her first book. A number of magazines and cookbooks followed. Between them the Food Network show was also an enormous success. Additionally, she sells items including food-related ingredients, storage containers and equipment. Ina is a self-taught cook that hasn't been to a cooking class and has never worked in the kitchen. Her easy-going approach to entertaining and her straightforward cooking style are well known. The most well-known recipes are Skillet with Roasted lemon Chicken Mac and Cheese, Mac, Beef Bourguignon and cheese paired with Beatty's Chocolate Cake, and Lemon Bars.
