Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - an Canadian and American artist and singer. She has more than twenty albums. DiFranco's songs are classified as alternative and folk. They also incorporate elements of hip-hop, jazz and punk. Widely considered a feminist icon Grammy recipient Ani DiFranco was the founder of the DIY movement and is among the first artists to create her own record label in 1990. DiFranco was born on 23rd September, 1970 in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Dante Americo DiFranco.
