Hayley Orrantia is an American actor, singer, and music producer. Many people recognize her as Erica Goldberg in the comedy television show 'The Goldbergs'. Although she's a singer, her primary passion is music. According her, is the first thing she is passionate about. She began playing with the instrument at the age of nine. At the age 12, she took serious enough about music to start studying professionally. As a teenager She began to write herself songs. The first album she released as a cover wasn't released until fourteen years later. The music has never stopped since then. Orrantia is a native of the USA but has Hispanic origins. She has Hispanic roots even though she only spoke English when a young girl and spent her entire life in the United States. She tries to maintain it through studying Spanish and writing songs in the Spanish language. One such song is "Hasta Verte," which she recorded in Spanish. Orrantia was selected to audition for The X Factor's first season in the summer of the year 2011. Orrantia was awarded 4 "yeses" to the judges in the Seattle live audition stage following having been selected from her YouTube submission. The first time she was auditioning for soloist, she as well as three female vocalists were placed together for the remaining auditions during "Hollywood Week". The group was removed from the program during the fifth live week.
